Are you willing to adapt?
Adaptability is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. They say that when it comes to survival, it’s not the most intelligent species or even the strongest that survives. In fact, it is the species that survives “is the one best able to adapt and adjust to the changing environment in which it finds itself.”
Isn’t that great? You don’t have to be the strongest, smartest or prettiest to successfully accomplish a goal or meet the demands of your changing environment. As long as you’re willing to adapt, go with the flow and equip yourself to stand firm though things may be changing.
Have you recently felt like a fish out of water with new challenges, different environments and the changing emotions of people? Maybe you’ve found yourself in some unexpected situations and you’re trying to figure out a way to overcome them.
A human response may be “throwing in the towel” or having some kind of “fight, frozen or flight” response, which is totally common and understandable.
But, when you’re making #BRAVEMOVES, you’re developing the instinct and the will to keep going, to keep trying despite what external circumstances look like. Internally, you believe that as you continue to do your best, things will inevitably work out in your favor.
This is BRAVELY’s version of adaptation. If you can hit the ebbs and flows with the mindset that no matter what arises, you will grow the wings to fly, it allows you to keep moving forward.
Being adaptable is about flexibility, pivoting and changing pace when you see that one way isn’t bringing about your desired results.
You may bend. Oh, but you won’t break. Adaptability = elasticity. You can work, rework, form and remold yourself into who you need to be in order to get where you’re going.
So, if you’re wondering how you will make it through this season, just know that making brave moves is about trying new things even if the original brave move you wanted to make isn’t working out.
Sometimes, it requires you to become humble, admit you don’t know it all and try it again.
Only the ones who stop trying, fail. And that doesn't mean stop trying things that aren't working, that's smart. But the ones who stop trying to accomplish their desired goals.
So, kudos to you for being adaptable and continuing to make these brave moves over here.
You can do anything,
